South Transdanubian Regaional Development Agency

The South Transdanubian Regional Development Agency is one of the leading regional development agencies of Hungary, it was established in 1998. The agency is 100% owned by the three counties (Baranya, Somogy, Tolna) of the South Transdanubian Region. Its 100 employees cover the whole region and provide sound professional background for regional development.

The Agency has internal experts and deep knowledge in sectors that are typically subjects to development such as tourism, environment, urban development, regeneration of brown fields, industrial parks, education, energy, etc.

Its profile can be summarized as: strategic and operational planning on regional and sub-regional level in accordance with the EU Guidelines; management of grant schemes (national and ERDF funded); management of project pipeline on regional and sub-regional level; capacity building on regional, subregional and local level to generate projects to EU grant programmes; management of territorial cooperation projects (PHARE, INTERREG IIIC and IVC, Central Europe, FPx, various CBC programmes). The Agency has gained wide scaled experiences in its former international projects, in several of them as LP.
